Most of the words used by theologians confuse the simple truth of God’s love and his grace. It’s not necessary, GOD’S LOVE IS SIMPLE! Shortly after publishing this poem, several parishioners asked, “what happened to the country preacher I knew”? Case in point; this poem was intended to point out that the theological and philosophical aspects of religious thought often convolute the simple truth of Gods love and plan of salvation. I guess my point was made… it isn’t really that difficult…. sorry for any confusion. I am still your loving country preacher… Y’all Come Back Now, Ya Hear…!

Time is only relative to man! God is the ancient of days and has no beginning or end. Man offers excuses for time as though he can defer or dismiss the fact that ‘we are running out of time”.
