NEWS FLASH – Does peace have a chance in 2025?

The saber rattling has intensified! Certainly this phrase rings true to end time prophecy “…wars and rumors of warsMathew 24:6.

The focus of this article is on the word “rumors”. We are witnessing active wars across the globe but the current atmosphere could best be characterized by the word rumors. Now when I say that, I don’t mean to imply that I don’t take these threats as serious. On the contrary, I feel more concerned than ever! Why I feel this way is based on what history has proven to motivate Kings and Kingdoms, that being; Power, wealth, and primal EGO! I think most would agree these are evident when analyzing previous and current wars as well as fueling the rumors of wars.

Just recently another characteristic came to mind, LEGACY! We hear this referenced in a lot of the analysis of politicians and world leaders regarding their accomplishments. Another word that comes to mind is MORTALITY ”. It came to me in my meditations that mortality may have a serious impact on our present global conflicts. Why do I say this? Consider this, 4 of the 6 major leaders in the world are in poor health. These 6 leaders are the source of the majority of conflicts across the globe. Now I suspect you know where I’m going with this analysis. 4 of the 6 are aged in anyone’s terms and could die soon either by mortality or the consequences of conflicts.

So now let that sink in, you will then see how legacy becomes more of an influence!

Iran’s Supreme Leader is 86 years old and rumored to have pancreatic cancer. Do you think he is concerned about his country or citizens. I don’t, I think ego and mortality might have more influence over his decisions. What’s he got to lose? Well actually a lot but the problem is do they realize this?

Then there is Putin and rumors that his health is failing! Ukrainian leader Zelensky recently said Putin is dying. Now if there is any truth to his claim, one might speculate that Putin’s ego and mortality could influence his desire to affirm his legacy.

Then there is Xi Jinping. A big rumor caused major concern on the world stage when it was alleged that Xi had suffered a stroke. Now again, these are merely rumors and unsubstantiated at that, but they do cause us to consider how the mortality and ego of world leaders influence their decisions!

I have no doubt that ego, legacy and mortality are driving global leaders interest and global affairs currently. These world leaders are well aware of their mortality and desperately want to influence how history will define their legacy accomplishments.

Russia wants to reclaim the respect and previous boundaries of the USSR. Iran wants to destroy Israel and regain historic Persian Empire. Turkey wants to restore the Ottoman Empire. China wants to control Taiwan and the world in general. The U.S. wants to maintain respect and dominance amidst an increasingly hostile environment. Admittedly, I was shocked when Trump revealed his interest in expanding U.S. territory to include Panama, Canada , and Greenland. Lets be honest, Kings and Kingdoms are never satisfied; they all lust for more… There in lies the problem.

So, what do you think the chances are that peace is obtainable of the 6 world powers behind these “wars and rumors of wars”? (U.S., China, Russia, Turkey, Israel, and Iran) I think it is highly unlikely we will ever see world peace before the return of Jesus Christ. Even when some have said we have obtained world peace, history has proven them wrong.

Buckle up folks! We are in for a bumpy ride!

I hope everyone makes their peace with God for He alone controls the mortality of world leaders and us all… Daniel 2:21 “… He removeth Kings, and setteth up Kings:”

Let me recommend a previous article where I spoke of “wars and rumors of wars” being a sign of the times.
