The original boundaries promised to Abraham are described in (Gen 15:18).  These boundaries would include portions of current day Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey.  The Israelite’s have never fully possessed all of this territory.  The question arises, could it be that following the Ezekiel 38/39 war Israel will finally control these boundaries as originally promised to Abraham?  Ezekiel 39:10 reveals that Gog’s intent to plunder is reversed and Israel will now be the beneficiary instead.  (Gen 50:20)

I find it interesting that so many of the patriarchs found safety in Egypt at some point in their lives.  Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, Moses and the Israelite’s all found safety for a time in Egypt.  Most notably, Jesus as a child found safety in Egypt avoiding Herod’s death decree.  I find it interesting that although we rightfully associate Egypt with Idolatry, we seem to forget the founder of Egypt was Noah’s son Ham so no doubt there was once a knowledge of the “Most High God”, Jehovah in Egypt!  This explains why all nations will be judged for their rebellion in the end.

This is shown in Rev 17, The Riddle, Judgements of the Kingdoms of this earth.

The Riddle – The Judgment of the Kingdoms of this earth!

It is unmistakably obvious that Egypt has been used mightily by Jehovah to achieve His purposes as is the case with the five kingdoms of Daniel as well.  We also know that God’s mercy extends to all nations of the earth so I’m not surprised to see Egypt among the beneficiaries of His Grace.

The other thought regarding the “true” boundaries of the promised land is this, could this have been the original boundaries of Eden?  There is no means to prove this but certainly is plausible.   I will say that as always when I see an example of God’s faithfulness to his word I am encouraged.  I am assured that whatever promise He has made, He will keep!  No matter how dismal the situation seems, I am confident he will save me!

Rom 8:38-39  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Rest assured if God said it He will do it!
