It is so frustrating to me when I hear people questioning why God would “allow” something to happen. They want to hold God accountable for what they themselves or society as a whole have allowed! Yes, the sins we commit and the sins of others create the opportunity for evil to prosper! This is called ACCOUNTABILITY to God which so few teach now even in the Church. I call it CHEAP Grace! It certainly wasn’t cheap from Jesus perspective but if we don’t acknowledge that we have a critical role to play in His plan of SALVATION then we truly “neglect” so great a salvation! Repentance is a must!!! Accountability is a must! it’s in our hands! God will not be MOCKED!

Most of the words used by theologians confuse the simple truth of God’s love and his grace. It’s not necessary, GOD’S LOVE IS SIMPLE! Shortly after publishing this poem, several parishioners asked, “what happened to the country preacher I knew”? Case in point; this poem was intended to point out that the theological and philosophical aspects of religious thought often convolute the simple truth of Gods love and plan of salvation. I guess my point was made… it isn’t really that difficult…. sorry for any confusion. I am still your loving country preacher… Y’all Come Back Now, Ya Hear…!

NOW, IS THE TIME!

Time is only relative to man! God is the ancient of days and has no beginning or end. Man offers excuses for time as though he can defer or dismiss the fact that ‘we are running out of time”. What’s your excuse? I believe we only have the moment and should not delay what we should do, NOW! NOW IS THE TIME OF SALVATION!

Let us observe a “moment of silence”!

I don’t believe a “moment of silence” is what we need! We have been silent too long and now we are paying the price for silence!

The older I get the more obvious it is to me that what should be a Holy celebration has become a secular nightmare. The message of “peace on earth, good will toward men” has been lost to many. The peace and good will toward men can only be provided by God!

The Wuhan, China Flu has given the anti-Christian lobby opportunity to close or at least seriously hamper small and large Churches. This means the ministry to the hurting public has been almost non-existent.
