My readers know that I have never considered Putin to be a candidate for the “ANTICHRIST”! By now, I would hope that those who have considered him for this role have confessed their error!
This is an example of how so many “so called” prophetic analysts are nothing more than sensationalist fiction writers using the common fears of the misinformed to sell their books! Putin has never met the characteristics we have been given in the holy scriptures.
Putin has always been known as a brutal leader and one who could not be trusted. Putin, an Ex-KGB strongman is hardly the charismatic leader we are told will rise to impress his followers with miraculous acts and be known as a silver tongued “peace maker”. Does anyone think Putin could pull off such a mascaraed!
Consider these reasons for why Putin is not the Antichrist!
First, the most obvious should be that he is not from an “obscure nation” as described in Daniel 7:8, as a “little horn” from among other larger horns:
Daniel 7:8 “I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.”
Putin is a well-known leader throughout the world and Russia is hardly considered “little” by land mass or might. Russia has to date been considered a “super power” though we have seen recently that this status may well have been misplaced. Putin’s strategic mastery and military superiority is clearly in question.
Second, as described in Daniel 11:37, the Antichrist will not desire women:
Daniel 11:37 “Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.”
Putin was married for 30 years to his first wife and now has been seen with another woman since their divorce. As for religion; Putin claims to be an Orthodox Christian and was raised in an Orthodox Christian home.
The world is no doubt on a collision course and world powers are aligning for what may be the grand finale. This environment may well present the opportunity for a true candidate for this role to emerge. Jesus told us that these wars and rumors of war would precede the Antichrists revelation. I would hope by now everyone would return to the true authorities, Daniel, Jesus and John for guidance in these perilous times. Beware there are so many FALSE PROPHETS that prey on the misinformed!

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
The false prophets of the day depend on their prey to be misinformed! Is that you? Or do you know the scriptures well enough to avoid such deception. This is a critical issue in the church today. The moral fabric of our societies depend on us being aware of the the enemies among us and exposing them for what and who they are! Yes, I said among us! As long as we remain, we are to be the restrainers! We have the power and authority to disrupt evils agenda! I pray you are up for the fight! Lost souls depend on us to tell the truth!
