Jos 24:15  … choose you this day whom ye will serve;

 I see God bringing the many moral issues of the day to the forefront and He will know how each of us stand on these issues.  I see this as a sign that his judgments are forthcoming on our society and we must make known how we stand.  The abortion debate we see playing out in the media today has been long over due.  We have been ruled by a federal court decision called Roe vs Wade since 1973.  My argument has always been based on the fact that this issue should never have been decided as a federal mandate but rather a personal decision.  By putting this issue back in the realm of States rights, we actually place it where God would have it decided.  God will know where you stand!

The States may still choose to support this horrible practice but the fact that we will have the right to “vote” our conscience is critical.  If I am going to be judged for a deplorable decision, I at least want the right to make my position known!  At this point many have enjoyed deferring this to a Federal law and dismissing any personal culpability.  I welcome requiring each individual to go on record personally, then they will be judged by God accordingly.  We cannot blame the governance for this but God will hold each of us responsible for how we voted.  This also will allow those who would disagree to relocate to a state that best represents their values.

The best example I see in the scriptures for how God settles these issues is taken from I Kings 18.  We see the prophet Elijah instructed to call all of Israel together to challenge them to choose whom they would serve, God or Baal.   This chapter reveals how God will not allow us to hide behind our leadership.  God will hold each of us responsible for where we stand on these moral issues.  The moral issues that are being raised in our society today are good examples of how God has and is bringing these issues before us! I would refer you to a article I wrote called, HOW LONG HALT YE?

God will know where you stand!
