God, why challenge me with, “come now, let us reason together”?
Do you really see in me, council or advisory?
So why are you mindful of me, what have I to offer Thee?
What have I to barter with, I know of God’s aseity.
I think you rather seek to reveal such audacity.
My propensity for sin could never approach your impeccability.
How could I dare to challenge thee? Truly this is absurdity!
For thou art, “The Almighty God of eternity“!
My nature and tendency Is blatantly inferior to Thee!
Only a fool would dare challenge, Thy immutability.
The wisdom of Solomon recognized such vanity!
Theologians grope with your incomprehensibility.
The Prophet Isaiah pondered, yet delivered your bidding;
Isa 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together”,
Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
”FINALLY, these words bring clarity. They speak to my nature and to my frailties.
They bid me to dispense with the complexities.
They speak of Thy character in terms of simplicity.
They state your graciousness without perplexity.
So then, in your goodness and holiness;I will through your loving providence;
And by your Spirit’s immanence; Say I am now ready,
“LET US REASON TOGETHER”
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life!
Now, In this reasoning, I can truly rest for eternity!
